The 4 houses on this property are Shady Oaks , The Cottage, Casa Rio, and Valley View and all are in sight of but not next door to each other. You must cross the Sabinal River to get to and from the houses at Shepherd's Rest. This property is located in the Sabinal Canyon in Vanderpool, Texas. These houses are about 1 mile from Lost Maples State Park and about 27 miles from Garner State Park. Little River House is a cabin located on 15 rolling acres with abundant wildlife. Also located on this same property are 2 other cabins, the Arrowhead and Tomahawk and can be rented all together to sleep up to 12 people. There are oak trees for shade and the river is lined with huge cypress trees. There is about a 1/4 mile of the Sabinal River running through the property with the water level anywhere from 2 - 10 feet deep which makes it great for fishing or swinging off the rope swing. There is a washer and dryer on the property for your use. Each cabin will sleep anywhere from 2-4 people and has AC/Heat. $120 for 2 people and $10 each additional person
